Something something

I am holding down a pen in my hand after a long time
I am writing something new maybe something you knew
My words won't be awesome they won't be inspirational 
My life ain't that awesome as the world often mistakens to imagine 
My story is too small just like a small town boy living his way
So here i am standing today at a point that has lot of things over me 
A past has it's own scars over me but that ain't matter to me
I believe in learning to be me everyday improving myself to be 
I can see right into your eyes and steal your heart away
I can make you fall for me without saying even anything 
I can turn the tables just like a magician making things invisible 
My words wont be boosting your inner soul as that's not my job to do
I can describe your story just by a simple smile on your face
I know you ain't gonna believe that i am writing it down today 
I am just writing a story which might tu your hearts big
All my dream is to make this world a better place to live today.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want. But if you are jealous because someone else got it by getting their hands dirty don't regret it because you lack the skill to get things you need so stop complaining and better work your way up".
