CI-CD process in day-to-day life
CI - Continuous Integration, CD - Continuous Deployment has been a term which has been brought to light by alot of organizations recently. And being into IT industry fast paced learning and development is a key essential skill, as if you don't learn with time you don't grow as individual too. And this does impact self growth professionally to some extent.
While i was learning of CI/CD, I can across a new abbrevation for this terms during an interview and surprise to my knowledge this abbrvation changed my view but also helped me to understand how the adoption of the method works.
CI - Continuous Information (Learning) as information being a game changer in today's era of information as key asset. i.e. if you want to pursue a role of project manager as your career path you need to know the responsibilites, the culture one should cultivate or contribute into that role.
CI - Continuous Integration (collaboration) as building a connection with your team members professionally a key skill to be a team player / contributor. i.e. when you are on-boarded to any new project, firstly you should know who is who i.e. what's everyones role which once can learn by collaborating with them or with the head of project team by having a short introduction for go-to person for any specific query. Like, when I on-board any memeber as my team to work in presales i share them a chart which helps them to know who can be reached for what module expertise and what should be mode of communication.
CD - Continuous Development, having self growth is as important as growing organization by contributing to it. In times where certificates, badges makes a high impact on your profile, continuous development is a need of time where one should keep on learning and growing as an individual as well as team by learning and contributing to team's knowledge base. Having a knowledge base would help team on a longer term also it portrays a transparency of knowledge.
CI/CD process would make a different meaning for everyone, it's all about having a view from one's perspective.
As a Business Analyst CI/CD process of life has helped me grow and adapt faster and survive in dynamic expectations and goals.
