A long way

It's been a long day of this hot summer
I am not aware why i am writing it here
It's been long since we talked about life either
It's been long since i heard your voice either
I can see that sun shining bright high in sky
Spreading it's light all around to enlighten the world
I always learned to be a good human all from you
I have been learning from a long to live a life without you
A day might not pass when i won't miss you
A night might not turn by if i didn't had a tear for you
It's too easy to say to move on forgetting past anyway
It's easy to say things will change and days will turn good one day
I have lived on hope since the day i lost your presence in life
I have been trying to keep the promises i made you with your last breath that time
Climbing those stairs just to see you layong there on bed
Wishing every moment that i don't loose you ever again
Holding your finger i learned to walk 
Having faith in you i learned to ride
You pushed me out so i could learn on my own
You made me the one for what i am well known
Some told me i need to forget ny past
All i need them to say is it's all you in it keeping me alive at last
All i know is i am gonna miss you till my life lasts.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want.
