That's a dad

It's been quite a while i been dropping this line just for you
Memories is all i hold what i have shared the best of my life with you
If i ever had a thing to do i would go and do everything that puts a smile on you
I remember the day when you taught me to walk holding your hands
I remember the day when you pushed to drive bicycle on my own
I remember my first day of school when you were right there until i settled down
Every tear in your eye when i went sick or when i was hurt badly
Those sleepless nights of you when i was sick and had no sleep
Those exams days when you were there to look after me 
Days when we used to play pranks and when you went kid with me
With a smile on my face i have tears falling off while writing it down
Every word is at it's perfect place to describe the best part of you
I learned everything from you the best leasons were taught by you
A man whom i keep dreaming to be is just standing next to you
All i wish is to make you proud of me saying that i did what you wished for me
But life's little complicated maybe it's how things are meant to be
So all i learned from you is tougher the day better is my way.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want.
