Once in my life

Here are few lines just describing a small part of my life
It all went back when i had on you my first sight
It was a hot evening with you standing out there and shining
Word's would fall short while i am describing you
All i dreamed was to hold on and stick to you
I was living on a hope to have you by my side one day
I was wishing for you to look at me just with love one day
Than there was a time when i spoke to you
A day when i told you every single thing i felt for you
I knew it would pull you away but i took that anyway
As the time slipped slowly and had a beautiful fly
I used to look at your face with a smile every day by
I never missed to have a glimpse of you while i lost you sigh
I learned from you the way of living a life
I learned to be a better person one day while touching sky
Looking every phase of you with days passing by
I found my happiness in you while you lived by
And than there was a day when you stopped waving for me
There was a day when i begged for you to stay
But all i learned in the end was i was worthless for you
But i still do believe  deep inside you are one for me true
Days would pass and years would fly too
What would never be changing is you place for me true.

A Fatherly Memory

Eyes are closed and mind ain't at peace It just feels broken and can't ease Looking at those memories i had Looking at our pictures which made us laugh Those moments which made us who we are Those lessons you taught me atlast Your absence does hurt a lot indeed Your presence is what i need at top of it Looking at your picture eyes shed tears now All this thinks i have achieved feels worthless now I never had a hand to pat my back I never had a hand to guide me in dark path Those days are being missed when we sat together Days when we discussed​ until mom yelled over Times when you used to caress my head before i fell asleep Times when you made me learn to be a better man to be Things can't replace your absence for me Life just never gonna be complete without you for me. -Nitish

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want. But if you are jealous because someone else got it by getting their hands dirty don't regret it because you lack the skill to get things you need so stop complaining and better work your way up".
