A loner place

I am writing this words in the memory of yours
I never thought you would be gone so far
Every moment we spent together was dream once heard
Every person we met appreciated us as a pair
That look in your eye was so convincing for me
Those words of yours were just honey for me
I never thought of you pushing away to me
I never thought of us to be living apart to be
We stood right there when they pulled you back
I did try to fix ehat has happened at last
But no one ever thought for a moment of time
That theres nothing for them to worry indeed
I promised you once i would hold your hand
I promised to stay by you in darkness at last
But here i am today where you have gone apart

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want.
