Lines for my dad

Days have been hard and tough without you here
Things have been preety hard for me to learn often
I have lost your touch your care since the day you went off from here
Life is not that easy as it often seems for others to be
Taking decisions has always been tough without your advice
Looking every kid with his dad makes me miss your absence here
You have been my first friend my mentor my dad always and forever
It's not that your absence that hurts me often me here
It's the absence of your touch that's been tough for me
I have learned things the hard way going always off the limits
But i never felt so lonely as i had you right  inside me
It's not how you lived that matters it's how many lives you touched that matters atlast
I have learned from you most of the things in my life
It's your touch that has helped me to be what i am today
Some called me brave some called me harsh
Whereas some called me idiot some called me dumb
But it never affected my decisions as i always wanted live by heart
It's just you whom i am always gonna miss as your touch is non replacable.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap".
