Father's shadow

I am often told by people i am the shadow of yours
I am often being told being your little hero
I have seen the world from in and out since you left
I have been from a lot in this ups and downs
I might have written a lot about you and you are best in that too
You are my father my always and forever to be super hero
It's a dream of a every child to be like their father
It's a dream of every dad to see their kids growing smarter 
I might not be lucky to have you by my side today
But you will always be my hero till the end of this life indeed
Millions of words and trillions of thank you won't make a difference i know
Neither my words can describe how great a father you were
I just am surviving with a small dream on my heart
I just want to be the one shadow of my dad
I just want to be the one whom you would be proud to see dad.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want.
