Short time story

it's been a long and i have been silently missing you
it's been pretty long since i had seen you
life's so weird sometimes it just turned us away
i really never found a reason to let you skip away
i really never thought i would be lonely here today
it's been a while since i had you pictures seen everyday
it's been a while since i had you instead your memories for a day
never had a thought of being left out behind in this way
never had a thought you would be so hard for me someday
every song that i listen has something for you in one or other way
every word that i have been writing has you in them even today
that smile that blush those long conversation everyday
those silent moments and those discussions over the things of life
i do miss everything that we had but i am putting an end to it today
i just had a message from our old friend sharing a picture of you with your best man 
i just had a smile looking at your picture and felt to just to steal you away
you know that's crazy how we spend our life behind someone just even when they leave us alone
maybe we had something in those old days but it's over now 
same story gonna repeat with somebody just maybe you won't be a part of it
there would be a short time story with two other loves in some corner of world.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap".
