Here i am just right below the dark night sky watching those city lights
With every beeping sound of my phone i wish its a text from you
With every line i write its just a dream of me been falling down here to be
With every word of this is telling its own story in their own way to be
So i often get questioned why i never loose my temper on any of you
So here i stand on a point of immense confusion
I stand with everything i have right in front of me
The story of us i all i want to keep in me as deep
With every passing day without it just makes harder to stay
So here i am just waiting for you to turn around and have a look too
We were once best friends to true and now a strangers in a queue
I see you walking just by me and people staring right through me
Life is like a steps just climbing through with days and nights in too
Smile and sorrows are part of us too
All i wish to end up being with you.

A Fatherly Memory

I didn't get that opportunity!

We often face this question when either promotion or during hike cycle. Don't we think, "why them and not me?". I was once told "If there is something out there which is meant for you, you would get it sooner or later in your life". But as we grow and start our corporate life we learn a new modified version of that statement, i.e. "If you want something go ahead and either fight for it or earn it, but don't just sit there and hope for it to fall in your lap". During one of our recent office meeting our manager came and told us, "i know most of you are frustrated and think you are not getting what you want.
